New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) Now Available on RCN
24-Hour Cable Programming Launched in 5 Major US Cities
 
 
NEW YORK, NY, April 27, 2009 – New York based New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) announces that it will begin broadcasting 24/7 on RCN Channel 490 in New York, Washington DC, Boston, Philadelphia and Chicago starting April 27, 2009.
 
Established in February 2002, NTDTV is an independent, nonprofit television broadcaster created by overseas Chinese. Through a network of satellites, it broadcasts unencrypted signals simultaneously to Asia (including China), Europe, Australia and North America 24 hours a day. With correspondents in over 60 cities around the world, NTDTV provides timely, uncensored, and comprehensive reports on both international incidents and local events of concerns to the Chinese communities worldwide.
 
NTDTV Executive Vice President Samuel Zhou indicates that this launch is a milestone for the network, “New York, Washington DC, Boston, Philadelphia and Chicago are the 5 metropolises with vast Chinese communities and the key political, economic and cultural centers in the United States. We are very happy to reach these audiences via the RCN service.”  He further adds, “In the meantime, our programming contents promote authentic Chinese culture and therefore bridge the gap between the East and the West.”
 
Broadcast in both Mandarin and Cantonese, NTDTV has produced many unique and popular programs. In addition to news programming that spans world and local events, entertainment and sports, economy and finance, NTDTV has won the hearts of its audience with its call-in shows and drama series.
