What Foreign Investment Brought to China

China has become the world’s hottest and highest spot for absorbing foreign investment. There are two prevailing opinions about this trend among western and Chinese scholars: one is that foreign investment can urge the development of both China’s economy and democratization; the other is that by having foreign investment, China will be forced to obey international regulations, which will hopefully decrease corruption. In today’s program, we invite famous economist, Ms. He QingLian, to talk about the effects of those foreign investments on China, and the changing of its political and economic situation.
