A savage tornado twists through the region of Argentina and Brazil. Death and destruction are all that's left behind.
A devastating tornado ripped through the border region of Argentina and Brazil, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
In the town of Santa Rosa in Argentina, ten people, seven of them children, were killed.
[Unidentified Victim]:
"My grandmother and my cousin are both dead. My dad, mom, aunt and another cousin all injured."
[Unidentified]:
"I woke up and my wife was pulling me from under the rubble, the boards and the nails."
Houses were flattened, rooftops sent flying.
Across the border, in the Brazilian town of Santa Catarina, homes were torn out of the ground.
Roads and bridges destroyed.
Water and electricity supplies cut.
The death toll is expected to rise.
Rescue workers have still to reach more remote towns which may have felt the full force of the tornado.
