A two-day protest by municipal workers in the Argentine city of Cordoba ended with thirty-four arrests and numerous injuries on Tuesday.

Protesters threw sticks and rocks and rolled burning tires at riot police. The police tried to control the protesters with tear gas and rubber bullets. The area around Cordoba's city hall was shrouded in smoke.

Municipal workers are unhappy over recent cuts in overtime and other benefits.
