Japan’s Prince Hitachi Visits Peru

Japan's Prince Hitachi arrives in Lima and meets with President Alan Garcia at the government palace in Lima.
Prince Hitachi was received with full military honors when he met with the Peruvian President.
The prince was accompanied by his wife Princess Hanako.
Prince Hitachi, who is the younger brother of Japan's ruling emperor Akihito, arrived in Peru on Friday, and began his official visit the following day, meeting with Garcia.
The prince is in Peru to take part in the 110th anniversary celebrations of the Japanese immigration to Peru.
He is expected to meet with members of Peru's Japanese community on Sunday and will also travel to Bolivia in the coming days.
