Innovative Office Set Up in the Shape of Cars
A car designer and automobile enthusiast from India's southern state of Andhra Pradesh has built a unique office setup.
K. Sudhakar has designed the office table, sofas, and teapots, all in the shape of his cherished designs of vintage cars… all from scrap metal.
It took him nearly three years to set up his dream office.
[K. Sudhakar, Proprietor, Sudha Cars]:
"More than the cost, it is the hard work. I think I must have been to more than 50 junkyards to fetch the right material. I'm so lucky to get 1908 Ford suspensions and Ford's wooden spokes wheel. More than money, money is hardly anything... 30,40 or 50 thousand. But to get the right things, I really worked hard.”
In his office, a 1908 Ford car model can be converted into an office table, all within a mere three seconds!
And the sofas boast of headlights and wheels of oldie-goldie cars.
He also converted the gearbox of a 1937 Willy's Jeep into a pedestal lamp, while a Buffalo Gasoline petrol pump serves as a cabinet for cutlery.
Even the windows of his office have actual car doors.
Earlier, he designed a car museum in the city, the first and the only handmade wacky car gallery in the world. This museum is a prime tourist spot of Hyderabad.
He is also a Guinness record holder, for making the largest tricycle in the world.
