Fire rips through the main public market in Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince on Monday.

Its flames and black smoke overtaking hundreds of stalls, and two blocks of surrounding shops.

Firefighters keep dousing the blaze as shopkeepers rush to save their merchandise, while others rush to steal food and other goods.

Many Haitians are still living on the streets of Port-au-Prince after the January 12 earthquake that devastated the country.

Haiti's government says the final death toll from the earthquake could number more than 300,000.
