2010-05-28 02:07

In Israel, an international animal expo was held in Tel Aviv. The event was put together by 300 volunteers and 51 animal rights organizations.

There are demonstrations and information on the importance of taking proper care of our pets, such as feeding them well, grooming, and of course, exercise.

Different animal competitions have been held throughout the day. There are 3,000 animals competing from Israel and abroad. Among them are dogs, cats, turtles and alpacas, to name a few.

Despite the heat, hundreds of children came to enjoy the expo.

[Roi Kyte, Visitor]:
“We just passed by one animal protection association stall, and donated money to help save animals. It is so important, and of course having fun is also an important part of the event.”

Sean Delmar came all the way from the U.K. to act as a judge in the dog competitions.

[Sean Delmar, British Judge]:
"The idea of today is that we going to pick what we consider is the most beautiful pettigrew dog that you have over here at the show."

"Things I will be looking for is performance is very important. A dogs that really has personality and stand out out."

This exhibition aims to enhance public awareness of how to properly train and look after our pets.
