Asia’s largest renewable energy exhibition, the Green Energy Expo, is proving to be a hit. It’s held annually in Daegu, South Korea. 35,000 trade visitors from 35 countries have attended, with the exhibitors coming from 25 countries around the globe.
This is the seventh year for the exhibition, held at the Exco Exhibition Center. Interest is growing steadily each year as “going green” catches on. And it’s bringing in the money…$17.5 million was raked in.
Many English-speaking countries are getting in on the act.
[Jaehyo Kim, Owner, Exco Exhibition Center]:
“More than 40 percent of businesses in this expo are from western companies. For these businesses it’s a great opportunity to develop partnerships. This exhibition is central for Asian markets, giving great results.”
Using renewable energy such as solar, wind, hydrogen fuel, geothermal heat, and bio energy is what many companies are looking at for viable energy alternatives.
Utilizing the sun’s rays seems to be a popular product.
[Ian Lee, Manager of Solar Marketing Group, LG Electronics]:
“The reflection of solar rays on the panels is decreased so its efficiency increases. This model has a higher ability to absorb solar rays.”
And another company sells their model…
[Joopyung Yoon, Technical Advisor, TM Tech]:
“The panels follow the sun, massively increasing its efficiency.”
The Green Energy Expo organizers are already starting to prepare for next year’s renewable energy expo.
