[Ali, Surf Board Rental Shop Owner]:
“Sometimes tourists rent my boards and do not want to pay reimbursement if the board breaks. That’s all, I guess.”

Surfing has gotten more and more popular among tourists.

[Quannak Kau Kanon, Tourist]:
“Surfing? Really good, it’s a bit scary. We’re both not very good surfers. [The wave] closes out really fast and there’s a lot of garbage, but other than that, it’s like a beautiful place in the world, it’s like paradise, the water is nice, no sharks, pretty nice.”

But no matter how much of a beginner you are, lifeguards are always there to ensure your safety.
