The father of missing American Devon Hollahan has come to Frankfurt to help the German police find his son.
The 22-year-old went missing on Saturday at around 3:00 a.m .local time after attending a concert with a friend. Since then the family has had no contact with their son and there has been no activity on the missing man's credit card.
[Jeffrey Hollahan, Father of Devon Hollahan]:
"I am here to do whatever I can to aid in the finding of my son. Still no word as to where he might be. I am hoping to get an update today but at this point I feel i have done all I can do back in the States -in terms of generating some interest in the media to get his picture and his description out. So it is time for me to be here, and see what I can do here in Frankfurt to help the cause."
The friend who was with Devon is reported to have stopped to ask directions and when he turned round Devon was gone. It is thought that he disappeared between Frankfurt's Batschkapp club and the Taunusanlage area.
[Jeffrey Hollahan, Father of Devon Hollahan]:
"I think after this long a period of time you tend to think the worst. To think that something has happened to him...he may not be in a good place so we are all terrified. We are scared, we are confused and looking forward to getting some answers."
Hollahan says there is still no clear information but had words of praise for the Frankfurt police and said that several U.S. agencies as well as the police in Prague were involved in the search.
Before leaving for the U.S. Consulate, Hollahan gave an emotional plea for Devon to get in touch.
[Jeffrey Hollahan, Father of Devon Hollahan]:
"Devon, If you see this, I hope you are well and just know that we are doing everything we can to bring you safely home. Your family is really ready to see you."
