Heavy rains continue to pound China’s Guangxi Province, and the death toll is rising from landslides triggered by the downpour.

As of today, at least 38 people are dead and 14 others are missing.

The landslides have blocked off roads and buried houses.

Rongxian was one of the worst-hit counties in the province. At least 2,800 people were evacuated after their homes were destroyed.

The rainstorms have affected 27 counties in Guanxi province and nearly 80,000 people had been evacuated by Wednesday night.
