Dozens of highways have been forced to close down and flights remain grounded due to heavy fog in central and eastern China.
Two people were killed and 14 injured in a 32 vehicle collision on Tuesday.
Authorities in China's eastern Shandong Province shut down nearly 100 toll gates leading to highways. In some areas, visibility was as low as 15 feet.
At least ten flights were delayed in Shandong, while more than 100 flights were cancelled in central China.
In Shaanxi Province, fog has stranded hundreds of drivers on highways for days.
Authorities in Chongqing in central China also grounded traffic on waterways and rivers.
The National Meteorological Center said a cold air front affecting northern China caused the heavy fog. It’s not expected to burn off for a few days.
