The Australian town of Shepparton sits at the confluence of three swollen rivers in northeast Victoria.
As flooding continues in the southeastern Australia state, residents in this town fear their houses might still become inundated.
Locals brace for the worst, stacking sandbags around their homes, while the army and rescue service are on stand-by.
State Premier John Brumby warns that floods will not likely relent over the next seven days.
[John Brumby, Victorian Premier]:
"That means a continuation of probably minor to moderate flooding in the north of the state running through over the next week."
The State Emergency Service and army are helping to prepare residents for more floods, by visiting affected areas and sending text messages offering the latest advice and information.
