Floods Claim Lives in Southern China

Following days of torrential rain in southern China, 15 people are reported to have died and another 15 are missing.
More than 17 million people across nine provinces have been affected by flooding, landslides, and mudslides.
Thousands of homes have collapsed and many of the region's crops have spoilt, with damage estimates around 1.3 billion dollars.
The latest deluge comes just weeks after heavy rains last month killed 400 people.
Forecasters expect more storms to hit the region next week, raising fears that already weakened river banks could give way.
Along many of the Yangtze's tributaries, waters have already risen above flood lines, in some places by as much as 10 feet.
