West Bengal, India: Police Arrest Members of Militant Outfit

Police arrested the commander-in-chief a of banned militant outfit, along with three other members in India's West Bengal on Monday.

The commander-in-chief of the outfit along with three others was arrested while they were moving to Nepal.

According to police officials he was the most wanted person for the last couple of years.

[Debendra Pratap Singh, Superintendent of Police]:
"Ningthoujam Tomba alias Koireng and three girls were arrested today. Out of the three girls, two were of Manipur origin and one was from West Bengal."

A satellite phone, a laptop, six mobile phones and a number of documents have been recovered from them.

The arrest took place after the police interrogated a member of the organization who used to stay with Tomba in the Khapril region.

The group is one of the most active militant outfits in the region.
