Maoist Violence Continues in Eastern India

A mob of Maoist rebels killed one person and injured five others in a midnight attack in the Ghatshila region of India's eastern Jharkhand state on Sunday.
More than a hundred Maoists entered Dainmari village late at night and set half-a-dozen houses ablaze, before leaving with cash, clothes, food and more.
[Ramesh Banra, Victim]:
"Around 12-12:30 at night, Maoists came to our village. They came in large numbers. They beat us up and accused us of mixing poison with water to kill them."
One person was killed for being a member of the Citizen Protection Association and aiding police in their anti-Maoist operations.
Police have started their operation to track down those responsible.
