India Faces Militant Infiltration from Pakistan

The Director General of Border Security Force says Pakistani militants are trying to bypass a border into India.
There have been six attempts to cross the Line of Control between the two countries this year.
[Raman Srivastava, Director General, Border Security Force]:
"They are making attempts to cross the Line of Control and Indian borders on a daily basis. As all the routes to Kashmir get blocked with snow, the infiltrators are now heading towards Jammu. Once the routes will open, they will make attempts to cross the Line of Control. So they are trying constantly."
The Indian army accuses Pakistani troops of providing cover fire to infiltrators along the Line of Control.
[Raman Srivastava, Director General, Border Security Force]:
"We have alerted all our formations. We have maximized and optimized the deployment. We have brought in reinforcements. We have increased our presence on the borders. We have increased round the clock vigil also."
Pakistan has consistently denied its involvement in abetting the anti-India insurgency that has killed more than 47,000 people since 1989.
