World Cup Trophy Excites Indonesian Fans

The FIFA World Cup trophy is on display at the Jakarta Convention Center and fans are out in force to take a look.
The event organizer set up a photo booth next to the trophy, offering professional pictures accompanied with documentation.
Many fans stood in line for hours just to get a picture taken with it.
Soccer lovers of all walks of life look forward to their national team joining the FIFA World Cup.

"I hope this event can bring our team to continue to improve its performance and I wish them success."
Indonesia was once a powerhouse in Asian soccer, but the team has slipped in recent years.
Organizers hope to attract more soccer fans in Indonesia.
[Arif Mujahiddin, Event Organizer]:
"I hope the event will inspire Indonesians, especially soccer lovers. With a population of 235 million, I am sure Indonesia can achieve more."
The 18-carat gold trophy is on a global journey to 83 countries.
It's due to arrive in South Africa, this year's FIFA World Cup host country, in May.
