“Keeping in view the Republic Day on Tuesday, we have made necessary security arrangements in rural as well in urban areas particularly Poonch town and other places of Poonch district. We have laid ambush in several places for evenings and for daytime security we have set-up barricades with the help of paramilitary forces.”
In Assam, security has been tightened.
Police in West Bengal have taken measures to avoid any untoward incident.
Paramilitary force personnel guarding the India-Bangladesh border have also stepped up their vigil.
