Australian Foreign Minister Visits South Korea

Visiting Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith arrived in Seoul on Tuesday for a two-day visit. He met with South Korea's Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan to boost diplomatic ties between the two countries.
This is the second time Smith is visiting Seoul since being appointed foreign minister in 2007.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on various international issues.
The two parties also signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between South Korea's foreign ministry and the Australian Agency for International Development in various sectors for development.
South Korea is negotiating with Australia for a free trade deal. The two countries have had diplomatic ties since 1963.
Smith will be leaving South Korea later on Wednesday.
