Baluchistan, Pakistan: Oil Trucks Set Ablaze

Attackers have set fire to five oil tankers carrying fuel for international forces in the Pakistan’s Baluchistan province.
The trucks were en route to Afghanistan from Karachi, and were parked at a truck stop when attackers set the vehicles on fire. One driver was killed in the attack.
The U.S. military sends 75 percent of its supplies for the Afghan war through or over Pakistan, including 40 percent of the fuel for its troops.
Most of these supplies are trucked through the Khyber Pass, but that route has been plagued by militant attacks since last year.
In August, suspected Taliban militants set fire to 18 container trucks in the border town of Chaman.
