Memories of an attack in Pakistan still linger on in the minds of Sri Lankans cricketers.
Six of them and their British assistant coach were wounded when gunmen attacked their bus on the way to a stadium in Lahore last March.
Now, the team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure their safety during this tour of Pakistan.
A special security consultant has flown to India to review security arrangements for the team.
[Lorence Fernando, Security Consultant]:
"I'm visiting all the district associations, our team is visiting ten states. So, I'm happy with the arrangements made by the district associations and also by the senior police officers, in charge. We have discussed the matter at length and I'm sure they will have very good security here."
Sri Lanka will play three tests, five one-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches.
