In India’s eastern state of Jharkhand, police have arrested three people accused of providing arms and ammunition to Maoist rebels.

The explosives included ammonium nitrate and detonators that could be used for attacks.

The arrested persons were involved in a series of incidents and acts of sabotage against the local and federal government establishments.

India’s prime minister says Maoists are the country’s biggest internal security threat.
