At the "Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week," lifestyle and Indian fashion designers are showing recent trends in cutting edge design, style and business.
On the second day of the fashion week, popular Indian designer Rina Dhaka showcased her “Spring Summer 2010” collection.

Rina’s collection was primarily based shades of ivory and brown.
[Rina Dhaka, Designer]:
“We use a lot of indigenous, which is the old metal embellishments, the buttons, specially made for these clothes, a tea staining to give it a vintage look on the cording and then the complete modern elements of trying to dwell into 80's, 90's silhouettes and bring a contemporary fashion look of today's times for you guys. It was basic palette: ivory, black, brown black.”
Embellishments such as Dori, chord, metal, buttons and beads made attires look more appealing.
Rina says the fashion industry was able to overcome the recession.
[Rina Dhaka, Designer]:
“Recession became quite a recession actually. I must say we survived because we live in India. We survived because also we have weddings, we have culture, we have functions which keep us running through the seasons.”
The event is India’s biggest fashion trade event and runs through October 28.
