Indonesian police have released photos of four men believed to have been involved in the July 17 bombings at the J.W. Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels.
Indonesia's national police spokesman named the four men as Syaifudin Zuhri bin Djaelani Irsyad, Ario Sudarso, Mohamad Syahrir, and Bagus Budi Pranoto who goes by the name of Urwah.
Police are refusing to say their roles in the bombings, but are calling on the public to help find the men.
[Nanan Sukarna, Police Spokesman]:
“I appeal to Indonesian people wherever you are to help us to find these four men, to help our investigation.”
Sukarna named one of the men, Syaifudin Zuhri, as a recruiter for suicide bombers.
[Nanan Sukarna, Police Spokesman]:
"This is Syaifudin Zuhri, alias Ustadz Syaifudin Zuhri, alias Udin, alias Shaleh. His role in the group was as recruiter for suicide bombers."
Another of the four men, Bagus Budi Pranoto, was sentenced to three and a half years in 2004 for harboring Noordin Top and Dr. Azhari.
Top is believed to be the mastermind behind last month's attacks which killed nine people and wounded 53.
[Nanan Sukarna, Police Spokesman]:
“He [Top] is involved in the Marriott Hotel bombings last month.”
Since the bombings, police have captured at least six people, while three others have died during shoot-outs.
Sukarna said police have also captured a Saudi and an Indonesian suspected of funding last month's bombings in Jakarta.
He said the two men, identified only as Ali and Iwan, were recently captured in different areas in West Java. Ali is a Saudi national, but police are still cross-checking his identity.
Police have not confirmed whether foreign funds were used in the recent attacks, saying the issue is still being investigated.
