Shen Yun Performing Arts has lured thousands of people to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane.
After seeing the show, members of Queensland’s arts community - and enthusiasts - say they had a good time.
[Vivianne Sayers, Dance School Founder]:
“I absolutely loved it. I think the vibrant dancers and the costuming was brilliant…I would love to have those costumes. They are absolutely beautiful, soft and colorful, and absolutely gorgeous.”
[Tammy Gosi, Performing Arts Enthusiast]:
“Chinese dance element from classical to modern to ethnic - it was just absolutely amazing. That coupled with all the music and the costumes - and just the dance itself - it was phenomenal.”
Others attending Shen Yun say there was a message.
[Rosalie Barnes, Nurse]:
“It was a very powerful message that we need to keep putting pressure on China to change.”
[Gael Hamlin, Retired Media Professional]:
“I just thought it was fabulous. What a way to communicate!”
[Richard Birt, Retired Engineer]:
“Very simple, clean-cut and well-produced.”
[Misty Usher, Veterinary Nurse]:
“If you’re into dance - which a lot of my friends are - but maybe you haven’t seen much Asian style dancing, [then you should try] to come along and give it a go.”
