Shen Yun Performing Arts is now performing at the Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California.
Vietnamese radio announcer, JD Huang, saw one of Shen Yun’s first 2010 shows in Los Angeles.
He says the show sets out to change the world.
[JD Huang, Radio Announcer]:
“It's truly more than entertainment. From the start I had that feeling, ‘I am going to get some message here’ and so throughout the songs, the four songs and I just read the words and everything and I felt that you guys want to inspire, to change the world, to change Chinese and to change Americans. To change the world, even after the show and that’s the effect that I think that you guys succeed.”
One of the station’s news anchors says he learned more about Chinese history and culture from the show.
[Daniel Quocbinh, Radio News Anchor]:
“Because you learn about the history of China. But besides the history I think they go to the modern times too. We get to know more about Chinese people. The real human one, not the communist party.”
Shen Yun continues to perform in Los Angeles until February 14.
