Shen Yun Performing Arts has just wrapped up its seven-show run in Washington, D.C.
Fashion designer, Minoo Mobin-Ventura, saw one of Shen Yun’s last performances there.
She says the colors were very inspirational.
[Minoo Mobin-Ventura, Fashion Designer]:
“I was actually looking at that while I was sitting there because I was like, ‘Okay, that color looks good with that color, that color works with that color. I like how they overlapped that with that.’ So it was good inspiration.”
Ms. Mobin-Ventura is also a cancer survivor. After the show, she said belief can help people get through things.
[Minoo Mobin-Ventura, Fashion Designer]:
“Everyone right now is going through something or another. Whether it’s turmoil in one place, whether it’s health, whether it’s money, whether it’s something... I think everyone is going through something. But as long as everybody helps each other and believes in the man above we will be able to get through a lot of things.”
Senior Legal Consultant, John Anderson, has also been through difficulties. He says his life has become better since seeing the show for the past three years.
[John Anderson, Senior Legal Consultant]:
“It seems like since we have seen this show my life has become much much better. In spite of my company not doing well, we were bought out by an even bigger company and the pay raises every year, so it's wonderful.”
