China's Xi Jinping Makes Final US Stop in Los Angeles

Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping is spending his last day in the US in the city of Los Angeles. He’s attending an economic luncheon with US Vice President Joe Biden and the governor of California, Jerry Brown. But Xi’s arrival didn’t go unnoticed by Tibetan activists. Tibetans have gathered in several of the cities where Xi made stops, calling for freedom in Tibet and an end to China's crackdown. Twenty-four Tibetans have set fire to themselves in protest in Tibet since 2009, 11 since January 2012, in a show of defiance to Chinese rule. Xi will conclude his trip Friday night by joining the mayor of Los Angeles at a basketball game between the LA Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.
