Two U.S. crash victims were rescued at sea on Saturday after their single engine airplane went down two miles west of Andros in the Bahamas.
The U.S. Coast Guard, partnering with Bahamian officials, came to the assistance of the distressed passengers, who are from Birmingham, Alabama.
Rescue crews arrived on site less than an hour after the U.S. Coast Guard command center in Miami received a report of a downed plane that had encountered engine trouble.
The two survivors, reportedly not injured in the incident, were found in an inflatable raft near their downed plane with an opened parachute attached.
