A tragedy that has left a strong imprint in the minds of Americans - Peal Harbor.

World War Two veterans gathered at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York City on the 70th Anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

[Dan Fruchter, Pearl Harbor Survivor]:
“Those who we have lost on that day, and the battles won later, must never, never be forgotten. Remember, Pearl Harbor and the sacrifices men made by the 2,406 men killed that day and subsequent battles that were fought so that all of you people standing here stand in peace and enjoy the benefits of our United States of America.”

One of the survivors expressed his feelings about the young men that lost their lives on that day.

[Armando "Chick" Galella, Pearl Harbor Survivor]:
"Please remember them in your prayers because they paid the supreme price. I'm no hero, those who are heroes have crosses."

Veterans stressed that Pearl Harbor is a reminder for Americans to always be alert in case of another surprise attack.

[Dona Adams, Widow]:
"I want to remember that Pearl Harbor was attacked and we have to be alert all the time."

The goal of Pearl Harbor commemorations around the country is to remember the heroism, the dedication and painful sacrifice of service men and women on the day that brought the United States into WWII.
