Thirty babies showed off their crawling skills during Nautica's third annual diaper derby.

The toddlers crawled across a 10-foot long mat as excited adults coached from the sidelines.

Some of the parent's strategies included stuffed animals, food and toys. The winning baby, Trent Miele, was coaxed across the finish line with a baseball.

[Mary, Mother of Winning Toddler]:
"He's very interested in baseball so anything to do with them, he'll go for them, run for them across the room."

Nine-month-old Trent started crawling when he was just 6 and a half months old.

While Trent snagged the largest prize, none of the babies went home empty handed–each received a smaller trophy for their efforts.

The race was held to celebrate the Nautica New York City Triathlon which will be held on Sunday, August 7.
