Fierce winds lashed the Giglio's coastline on Wednesday, making the already precarious position of the Costa Concordia even more so.
Glass panels that formed a ceiling became unhinged, blowing back and forth in the wind.
The search for bodies in the submerged parts of the ship was called off on Tuesday, but rescue workers will continue searching in other areas.
More than two weeks after the Concord disaster, 15 people are still missing.
On shore, luggage and other personal belongings recovered from the ship are kept in a holding area - waiting to be claimed by relatives.
The cold snap hitting Europe has also complicated efforts to pump diesel from the wreck.
