Ukrainians Will Pay for Parking in a New Way

Starting April 1st in Ukraine, parking valets can no longer accept payment for parking cars.
According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, one will pay for parking through parking machines or at automatic entry-exit terminals.
And starting on July 1st, parking tickets can only be purchased by bank transfer.
[Alexander Ignatenko, Representative, Ministry of Regional Development]:
"The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision on payments to operators who carry out maintenance of parking areas, just through the parking machines in cash, as well as selling tickets only by transferring."
55 parking machines have been installed in Kiev, which is 5% of the total required number.
Parking machines are also installed in other cities: the Crimea, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk.
According to preliminary estimates by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing, about 7,000 parking machines are needed to cover all paid parking areas in the country.
