What US Businesses Worry About in China

On his first trip to the US, Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping has had several meetings with US businesspeople. On Tuesday, he spoke to the Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC, and on Wednesday, he made a speech in front of the US-China Business Council.

But as the US and China emphasize the importance of strong business ties, US businesses in China are dealing with difficulties there. A new survey released by the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai shows that the top concerns that US businesses have in China include higher costs and intellectual property rights violations, such as counterfeit goods and piracy.
