Crocodile hunters are working overtime in eastern Thailand.

A number of the giant reptiles escaped after flood waters inundated a crocodile farm.

Weeks of heavy rains caused massive flooding at the Pattaya Crocodile Farm - a tourist attraction on the coast some 90 miles southwest of Bangkok.

The farm houses about 2,800 crocs - but it's not known how many escaped.

Thailand has been battered by heavy rains and flooding since late July - resulting in an especially heavy monsoon season.

More than half a million people have been affected by the rising waters - in many places chest-high.

Around 200 thousand homes have been hit, and about 1.5 million acres of farmland are under water.

The country's meteorological department has warned of more possible flash floods and mudslides in the coming weeks, as heavy rains are expected to continue across Thailand.
