At least 67 people died or went missing as flashfloods cause havoc in South Korea.
Over half a meter of rain has pounded the Seoul region in the last two days causing torrential flooding and deadly landslides in and around the capital.
Military sites near Seoul have also been swamped - and some ten landmines, as well as other explosives, are currently unaccounted for.
The bill for the damage is expected to run into hundreds of millions of dollars.
Car damage alone is estimated at 25 million.
Authorities say the heaviest rainfall for over a century has forced more than 4,500 people out of their homes and many are without power.
Some bridges in the center of Seoul remain closed and trains have also been disrupted.
As rain continued to batter this mountainous region on Thursday, South Korean authorities drafted in the military to help with the rescue and clean-up operations.
Neighboring North Korea was also hit by the storms but state media there has so far made no reports of damage.
