The printed faces of Indonesia's 2009 election candidates are taking over the capital.
Thousands of posters, banners and flags are filling up any available space.
Some creative campaigners are choosing bus rooftops as their media platform.
A well-known Indonesian actress is presenting herself for elections. She is one the legislative candidates for the National Mandate Party (PAN).
[Wanda Hamidah, PAN Legislative Candidate]:
"If politicians act well, then the decisions they take will be significantly effective."
She is part of a humanist group called the "Jakarta Move." The movement focuses on humanitarian values to solve problems caused by modern technology.
Hamidah says she was inspired by the campaign success of U.S President Barack Obama.

"Obama wasn't really rich, but he went door-to-door to citizens and now he became a President. This really inspires me."
