STORY:
Asma Jehangir, Pakistan's Human Rights Commission Chairperson says the perpetrators of the Mumbai attacks came from Pakistan.

She also says that it's Pakistan's responsibility to investigate the matter.

[Asma Jehangir, Pakistan's Human Rights Commission]:
"I cannot say whether ISI is involved in the Mumbai attacks or not, but from whatever has come to light, it seems the militants have come from our country only and the parents of one of them has also said this. And we have a responsibility to investigate."

The lone survivor out of the 10 gunmen of the Mumbai attacks had told investigators that he came from Pakistan's Punjab region.

Recruited by the Laskhar-e-Taiba militant group, the 21-year-old was given a year of commando training in Pakistan by a former Pakistani military officer.

India, the United States and Britain have blamed Lashkar-e-Taiba and other affiliated groups for the Mumbai attacks, saying Pakistan must do more to stamp out militants.
