WONG:
India's defense minister says there are no plans to launch a military attack against Pakistan. It comes after India demands action over the recent Mumbai bombings.

STORY:
India and Pakistan diplomatic relations have faced a heavy blow since the Indian government accused a Pakistan-based militant group of causing the Mumbai bombings.

It could not come at a worse time, since India is about to celebrate the 37th anniversary of its victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, resulting in the liberation of Bangladesh.

India's Defense Minister insists there are no plans for a military response, but believes Pakistan must make good on its crackdown against terrorist groups.

[AK Antony, Indian Defense Minister]:
"I cannot say what course of action we will take but unless Pakistan shows sincerity in what all they are saying through their action, one thing is very sure: that there is no question of things as usual."

Islamabad says it's investigating Pakistani links to the Mumbai attacks, which claimed more than 170 lives.

At the same time the Islamabad says India provided no evidence to back its allegations.
