Skating in a Winter Wonderland

WONG:
Christmas season is not only a time for family gatherings and gift exchange, it’s also a time to enjoy the winter season.  NTD’s Arnaud Camu takes us to an ice rink in downtown Toronto.

STORY:
O Canada, a land known for its long, cold and hostile winters.  Well, believe or not, cold temperatures do have some positive sides, like winter sports. And in downtown Toronto there’s nothing better than skating at Nathan Phillips Square.

Despite the rain last weekend, with its music, Holiday lights, and Christmas tree, the ice rink in downtown Toronto was a busy place.

It's really a treat for everyone: older folks trying something new, couples enjoying the night together, friends having a good time and young kids learning how to skate… and fall.

So if you need a break from Christmas preparations, some time off work, or polish your skills, find the closest ice rink, put your skates on!  It’s a whole lot of fun.
