Japanese Zoo Breeds Rare Lion

Japan has a new star. He small and furry and his fans can't get enough of him. Let's take a look.
STORY:
Meet Japan's latest animal star. A five-kilo baby lion-cub. He was born only a month ago at the Zoorasia Yokohama zoological gardens. And at every public appearance he is greeted with squeals and coos.
[Yuri Horiuchi, Zoo Patron]:
"He was so cute. I cannot say anything more."
Hundreds of visitors turn up for his two public appearances each week
[Natsumi Yoshida, Zoo Patron]:
"I am glad that I can take many photographs of the baby lion before he grows much, much bigger in just a short time."
The tiny lion cub is one of a rare subspecies of lions called the Asiatic lion. Only 350 individuals are known to survive in the wild. The last of the Asiatic lions live in the state of Gujarat in India.
