Also this weekend, the Global Human Rights Torch Relay continued its journey across the U.S. After visiting Providence, Rhode Island, the torch will be coming here to New York this Sunday.

The campaign aims to promote human rights in China ahead of the Olympics in August. The torch will also pass through the nation's capital and several other major cities this week, including Portland, Oregon; Tuscon, Arizona; Lexington, Kentucky; Lawrence, Kansas; and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
